A Pastor Tries to Walk on Water and Gets Devoured by Crocodiles in Front of His Whole Church
Zimbabwean pastor Jonathan Mthethwa was trying to show his congregation how Jesus walked on water by crossing what is locally known as Crocodile River on foot…
It didn’t go as planned unfortunately…
Eyewitness Deacon Nkosi told Zimbabwe Today:
“The pastor taught us about faith on Sunday last week. He promised he would demonstrate his faith to us today, but he unfortunately ended up drowning and getting eaten by three large crocodiles in front of us”
Deacon added: “We still don’t understand how this happened because he fasted and prayed the whole week… They finished him in a couple of minutes. All that was left of him when they finished eating him is a pair of sandals and his underwear floating above the water”
Talk about trying to lead your people in footsteps you haven’t mastered walking in yet!
(Maybe saying he should practice what you preach would be a little bit cheesy)
But if you are coaching and leading others to be able to achieve something special (even holy)…

Like the author of this news story said: “If you’re going to try the stunt, you might want to start with a puddle, a small stream or a kiddie pool. And not a muddy suicide creek that literally has “Crocodile” in its name.”
