Rock Bottom: I’ll keep this short & sweet

After all, it’s a Sunday evening

 

And I’m getting ready to settle down and plan for the week ahead

 

(I’m sure you’re doing the same)

 

Anyway…

 

Today was the final league game of the season for me and my Sunday league football team

 

We lost (Again)

 

And as a result we’ve finished bottom of the league

 

Not great

 

Especially after coming out of a retirement of 5 years

 

But hey ho

 

Next season can only get better right?

 

Firstly, we can’t get relegated because we’re in the bottom division

 

So we can’t finish lower next season

 

Secondly, I have a season of cobwebs blown off and I was actually fitter during this game today

 

Compared to my first game of the season

 

And finally, I know what I need to work on to improve my individual performance

 

And I now have 3 months to work on it

 

Which funnily enough ties in with the 90 day goals I’m working on

 

Because I don’t want to be the worst player on the pitch (Ha)

 

So all in all this season has given me some great feedback about what I need to do to improve
