Eat more, lose weight?
This always confuses the hell out of everyone…
“Why, if I’m not eating as many calories as I should be eating, am I not losing weight?”
Especially as we know that if you’re calorie expenditure outweighs your calorie intake… you lose weight
Well you see the deficit between intake and expenditure has an optimum amount
If you exceed the deficit by too much you’re body won’t lose the weight you want to at the rate you want
On the flip side you won’t be getting the maximal rewards from your exercise because your body won’t have enough of what it needs to adapt
And if you’re not getting the rewards from your training like increased fat oxidation, increased muscle mass and increased metabolism
You’re not going to strip the body fat very easily like you want to!
So when I have a weight loss client and I check their food diary and I tell them they need to eat more calories…
That is why!
Do you know how many calories you should be taking in?
