In my line of work, the biggest disappointment I hear of is clients not getting what they paid for

But they end up getting simply a load of training sessions that don’t deliver
In strength & conditioning, a solid training programme has an overall goal which is worked towards in smaller cycles
Not everything can be trained and developed at once
So the journey towards this result is periodised into training chunks that continually progress
Smart planning allows certain attributes to be developed whilst others are maintained
Remember if you don’t use it you lose it so there has to be boxes being ticked all over the place even when you’re focused on training one particular attribute
Think about a sprint who wants to improve their start from the blocks:
They need to develop strength and transfer that into power (specifically rate of force development) whilst maintaining their efficient movement mechanics which are made up of mobility, stability and motor control
There’s a lot that is needed in order to get their end result of improved performance
