It’s good to fail…
…and that’s because we learn from it
We learn from our mistakes
That’s how we develop
That’s how we grow
Tim Perlot outlined the beauty of a ‘fail-safe’ environment for S&C coaches like myself in a recent podcast
But failing and learning can be applied to pretty much everything in life
If you do something and have a bad response or experience…
You change something in order to avoid that same response or experience from happening again
That could be sticking a knife in a toaster…
Not checking your mirror when driving…
Or trying to lose body-fat whilst not changing your diet!
The golfer I’ve worked with for a few years now didn’t know where he was going wrong before he came to me…
He used to get really fit and really strong during his off-season when he couldn’t get out to play on the course…
But as soon as the season started and his competition schedule got full-on…
He would lose the strength he gained and therefore lose yards on his drive
So he came to me and we’ve programmed for him to strength and power train around his competitions so he can keep his performance up during the season
Simple
If something isn’t working or going right for you…
You investigate how you can change it and you learn
