That’s what I said to him during our long old chat this afternoon…
After feeling pretty ropey all week thanks to catching a cold off of a kid who was using me as a climbing frame last weekend…
I decided to crawl out of my bed and head to the steam room this afternoon to “clear myself out” and get all refreshed and stuff for the week ahead
(and another weekend of being a climbing frame)
I quite enjoy being in the steam room because it allows me to relax and breath and (if there’s someone there) have a decent old chat
My chat this afternoon was with a terrific Polish fella and after talking about pretty much everything there is to talk about
He started quizzing me about my profession and his 3 year transformation in which he’s got fatter and fatter
He likes his food…
He likes his drinks…

But the recurring problem he’s had of late (i.e. the last 3 years) is:
1) He starts a new diet and exercise schedule
2) He gets really busy with work so he can’t train
3) The diet goes out of the window because of his long working hours on site
4) He then gets run-down and becomes ill

It doesn’t FIT into their life and that’s why it always falls at the first hurdle
Basically you can change everything at the same time when certain things in your life aren’t in your control and they can’t be changed
(i.e.Your work timetable!)
You’re training is going to have to be added in elsewhere and most likely something else will have to be taken out to create the availability
